Product Overview

The ICT consulting and software development activities of TECHNITEIA can be divided in the areas outlined below. Please note that the software divisions are mainly meant for product characterization since TECHNITEIA develops a unifying algorithmic foundation that cuts across boundaries and permits systematically reusing code.

Security Services

  • Security Analysis and Auditing. TECHNITEIA developed an integrated package of services and products for the analysis, the auditing and the securing of computer systems/networks and data transmission/storing. This package is continuously updated on the Italian market requests, and made compliant with the European and Italian laws. Software Products

  • Computational Intelligence. TECHNITEIA develops a Computational Intelligence (CI) library for e.g. pattern recognition, 3D reconstruction, automated decision, forecasting, etc. The CI library is based on knowledge engineering, neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary computation (e.g. genetic algorithms), stochastic techniques, etc. This library is not sold apart but inserted, if necessary, in the other compression/ encryption/ telecommunication products, generally as a pre-processing for improving performance for particularly difficult tasks.
  • Data Compression. TECHNITEIA develops a library based on its very high performance compression technology DQ (Dynamic Quantization), with modules for lossless and lossy data compression. This modules are optimized for different applications. More...
  • Cryptography. TECHNITEIA develops several cryptography library based on standard encryption algorithmic's and eventually associated with its own DQ technology. DQ permits coupling compression and encryption, thus optimizing at the same time security and capacity of a data communication channel. More...
  • Indentation.TECHNITEIA develops an innovative wireless communication protocol for video and data transmission using FM radio-frequencies instead of the usual high-frequency band. In short: MHz instead of GHz!
    This protocol is based on the absolute performances of TECNITEIA's compression algorithms and can be also endowed with TECHNITEIA automatic encryption engine.
    This means that every company and/or institution, actually transmitting on its proprietary radio frequencies only audio information, can transmit also, on an encrypted channel:
    • images and video (lossy compression), without renouncing to the usual audio channel (even stereo!)
    • data (lossless compression) by using the entire channel.

All library modules of TECHNITEIA software production are sold individually or pre-packaged in operating environment, application and data type specific tools.

Client-server technology is used extensively when appropriate to the product and its operating/application environments.

In addition TECHNITEIA offers its consulting services to partners wishing to out-source development or acquire in-house expertise.

The Application Development Environments used by TECHNITEIA are meant to reflect ICT market data and trends. Consequently, most development work is targeted to Microsoft Windows, Linux and the Web. At the same time, a growing development effort is dedicated to the emerging real-time, handheld, and WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) based operating environments.

TECHNITEIA has made a significant investment in a state of the art data handling and application development system. This includes PC networks running Microsoft Windows and Linux in multiple client-server configurations, WAP enabled handheld devices, and applications development environments for C/C++ and Java. Consequently, TECHNITEIA is able to face highly complex software prototyping and development projects.

TECHNITEIA recognizes the growing need for robust, efficient and cost-effective Application Specific Hardware and runs a research project aimed at streamlining the conversion of its algorithms to Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC).
