COMPANY OVERVIEW

TECHNITEIA Advanced Paradigms S.r.l. is an l.l.c. that focuses its activities on advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development and consulting. The company is registered by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome since 1999.

Its Administration Staff is composed by only three members who are also TECHNITEIA’s owners.

Its Technical Staff has several highly qualified collaborators contributing to specific projects on a freelance basis.

Techniteia's Competence

TECHNITEIA competence is devoted to integrate research with applications, in order to propose advanced technological solutions mainly in three areas: data compression, cryptography, advanced telecommunications.

Please note that the divisions are mainly meant for product characterization since TECHNITEIA develops a unifying algorithmic foundation that cuts across boundaries and permits systematically reusing code.

These products are actually used in space applications, security systems for auditing, e-commerce networks, home-banking, advanced wireless networks for secure communication of data (lossless) and for still and moving images (near lossless and lossy) also using radio frequency (FM).

Techniteia's History

As to ITC in space applications of innovative TECHNITEIA compression and encryption algorithms, its history takes root in the context of COLDAC Project for lossy and lossless data compression, developed for ESA (European Space Agency) a compression software based on the wavelet method and on an innovative method of coefficient quantization (DQ: Dynamic Quantization).

The encouraging result was that during the ESTEC DATA COMPRESSION ROUND TABLE (Noordwijk, October 1996), DQ algorithm was first classified in the lossy compression and second classified in the lossless one. This algorithm was also parallelized and implemented on a QUADRICS Machine, by a contract with ALENIA Space.

Afterwards, TECHNITEIA autonomously developed an evolution of its original compression algorithm, to satisfy a specific request of the Western European Union Satellite Center (WEUSC) in Madrid, in partnership with CAP GEMINI Italia e ACS (Advanced Computer System, S.p.A.). This evolution mainly consists in endowing the compression engine of an internal automatic encryption device for satellite image compression and secure distribution.

Finally, in 2003 TECHNITEIA developed in 2003 for ASI (Italian Space Agency) and CGS (Carlo Gavazzi Space, Milan) a further evolution of its compression algorithm for lossy and near-lossless compression of SAR data from satellites.

Starting from this basic research, TECHNITEIA developed a series of products for security consulting as well as a series of software products. They are essentially Library modules are sold individually or pre-packaged in operating environment, application and data type specific tools. More…
